Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
Custom rubber seal plugs may need to remain correctly fitted through both heat exposure and water contact. Those conditions should be defined together for the intended opening, including whether they occur at the same time or during different operating and cleaning stages.
Develop the retained profile and exposed head around the actual assembly. Choose the material for the relevant temperature, duration and fluid conditions rather than assuming one formulation covers every use described as heat-resistant or waterproof. Custom sizes, shapes and colors can suit the selected version.
Evaluate the closure in the finished opening through the required service sequence. Inspect seating after the relevant cycles, looking for changes in the contact edge or retained depth. A close initial fit is only part of that assessment. During replacement, examine the opening for damage and keep the selected compound matched to the correct geometry. If exposure has changed since the original design was evaluated, review the closure configuration before installing another identical-looking plug.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. Develop the retained profile and exposed head around the actual assembly. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
