Match the attachment and installation method
Custom silicone rubber bungs and tube arrangements need the outer closure and tube interface to be developed together. The bung must fit the vessel opening while any passage accommodates the specified tube without thinning or distorting a local section of rubber.
ETOL can customize size, material, hardness and color. Define the tube's finished outside surface, the bore location and the vessel seat. Select the formulation for the intended contents and processing conditions, and leave enough handling access for controlled assembly and removal.
Introduce the tube without scraping the rubber with a sharp end. Seat the bung in its intended position and support the tube so it does not lever the closure to one side. Evaluate the completed arrangement for the required function under its specified conditions. During service, release the system appropriately before moving either component. Inspect both contact interfaces for residue or damage, and replace affected parts rather than stretching the bore or pushing the bung deeper to compensate for a changed fit. Reassess the geometry if the tube or vessel is replaced.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. Custom silicone rubber bungs and tube arrangements need the outer closure and tube interface to be developed together. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
