A rubber hose grommet contacts the outside of the hose, which may differ from the material carrying the fluid inside it. Choose a nitrile or silicone configuration around the actual jacket, protective wrap and substances reaching the panel crossing. The fluid name alone does not describe every exposure at that interface.
Measure the finished outer section where it will pass through the rubber. A fabric reinforcement, spiral covering or added sleeve can change both size and surface texture. Include the wrapping as fitted rather than measuring an uncovered length elsewhere on the hose.
The custom passage should provide the intended protection without squeezing a soft outer layer into an unwanted shape. Keep joins or abrupt wrap ends away from the contact region where the equipment layout permits. Select the panel-retaining geometry separately for the finished wall thickness.
After maintenance involving a different hose construction, reassess this contact even if the fitting sizes are unchanged. Inspect the jacket beneath the grommet for rubbing and the rubber bore for embedded material. A replacement should suit the new outer surface rather than be chosen only because the same line connection is used.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The custom passage should provide the intended protection without squeezing a soft outer layer into an unwanted shape. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
