Product Overview

A Silicone Rubber Seal is developed around the mating joint and its intended exposure. Where an HNBR oil-seal alternative is considered, the selected compound should be defined for the actual medium and operating conditions rather than treating the material names as interchangeable versions of the same performance.

ETOL can customize dimensions, hardness, color and material construction. Establish the sealing profile, available compression and the surface finishes that meet the gasket. Include any change in the joint during operation, such as movement or thermal exposure, in the evaluation of the completed arrangement.

Keep the mating faces clean during assembly and place the seal without twisting or stretching it out of its intended outline. Check for rubber trapped beside a locating feature as the joint closes. Use the specified assembly condition instead of extra force to conceal an uneven seat. During maintenance, inspect the contact pattern and material condition before replacement. If the seal has changed shape or its surface is damaged, review the exposure and mating geometry so a new component is selected for the cause as well as the visible defect.

Material options
HNBR / Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Rubber: 30–90 Shore A. Silicone: 20–80 Shore A. Include any change in the joint during operation, such as movement or thermal exposure, in the evaluation of the completed arrangement.
Custom dimensions
Establish the sealing profile, available compression and the surface finishes that meet the gasket.
Fit & assembly
Keep the mating faces clean during assembly and place the seal without twisting or stretching it out of its intended outline.
Use & inspection
During maintenance, inspect the contact pattern and material condition before replacement.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
