A silicone rubber tapered split plug includes a divided section within a tapered closure profile. The split should be positioned for the intended assembly so its edges settle together as designed rather than overlapping or being held open by an obstruction.
ETOL supports custom dimensions, material, hardness and color. Define the split's purpose and the mating geometry before selecting the plug. If another component occupies that region, include its finished size and surface in the fit assessment.
Insert the taper gradually while watching the split line and the exposed head. A portion entering first can skew the closure, leaving one edge distorted inside the opening. Choose the compound for the actual thermal and material exposure, and evaluate the completed closure under the required conditions.
During removal, release the plug through its intended handling feature rather than pulling the split edges apart. Inspect the ends of the split for developing tears and remove particles before refitting. If the split cannot return to its intended shape, replace the part and assess the mating fit. Do not extend the cut by hand to accommodate an unplanned change in the assembly.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
