Silent rubber feet use a resilient contact between equipment and its support, using a screw attachment to hold the rubber in position. The intended benefit is to soften that interface, but sound and vibration depend on the complete mounting arrangement. Evaluate noise and support behavior with the equipment resting on its fitted feet.
When designing the screw attachment, consider where the fastener head and any washer bear on the foot. The rubber needs to be retained without being flattened so far that rigid parts contact the support directly. The correct screw dimensions and tightening conditions must follow the chosen foot and equipment, rather than being inferred from a similar-looking bumper.
ETOL offers custom sizes, colors and logos, and lists hardness options from 30 to 90 Shore A. Compound and geometry influence the fitted response together. A softer loose sample is not necessarily a better mount once the equipment weight and fastening compression are applied.
Inspect the installed feet under normal loading. Look for lateral bulging, a screw head sitting too low or one foot compressed more than the others. During operation, check that cables or rigid brackets are not creating another contact path to the support. If vibration changes after servicing, review both the foot condition and its mounting hardware before changing the rubber specification.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The rubber needs to be retained without being flattened so far that rigid parts contact the support directly. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a connection type, then compare body dimensions and metric threads. D, H and L are in millimeters; H excludes projecting studs. The M designation identifies the metric thread.
