An automotive shock absorber rubber mount is a custom resilient component for a defined vehicle mounting arrangement. Its profile should fit the attachment seats while leaving the supported assembly room for its intended movement. The surrounding clearance is part of the fit, especially where the installation is enclosed by brackets or covers.
