A custom usb dust cap covers an unused USB opening with a molded silicone part. Its shape and dimensions are developed for the exact port and device housing, with color and hardness selected for the intended handling. The locating profile should engage without pressing on the connector's contacts or internal features.
Consider the cap's handling cycle as well as its closed position. Each cable connection leaves the cap temporarily removed, so there should be a clean place for it while the port is in use. Dirt picked up on its inner surface can be carried back toward the opening when it is refitted. An accessible outer grip helps removal without inserting a separate tool beside the connector. Check that the cap clears neighboring sockets and can be used when other cables are already connected. Wipe away debris around the port before removal, keep the cap dry and clean, and insert it in its intended orientation. Replace a damaged locating section that no longer holds the cover in the correct position.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
