The fit of 28mm rubber plugs depends on which feature that nominal dimension describes in the selected design. A cover head, inserting section, and sealing edge need to be compared with the receiving component separately. Color can identify a custom version, but it should not replace those measurements when several closures are used together.
Check the usable depth and surrounding clearance. The exposed part should remain accessible without catching neighboring hardware during normal handling. Choose the rubber compound around the actual medium, temperature, and cleaning process, and evaluate any sealing duty using the completed connection.
Fit the plug in its intended orientation without folding the edge. Inspect the full contact boundary after other components are assembled. During reuse, remove residue from the seat and check the handling region for tearing. If the closure becomes loose or difficult to remove, examine the mating feature and rubber condition rather than forcing another nominal size into a contact arrangement it was not designed to fit.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. A cover head, inserting section, and sealing edge need to be compared with the receiving component separately. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
