Custom silicone hose caps cover a hose or tube end with a molded part selected for the local conditions. The cap opening and engagement depth should match the outside profile being covered. With a flexible hose, the receiving part can deform during fitting, so the cap and hose need to be assessed together.
Avoid selecting a very tight mouth that collapses the hose before the cap reaches its seat. The covered region may also include a bead, reinforcement change, or other feature that affects engagement. Establish the intended stopping position and leave access for controlled removal without damaging the hose end.
For elevated temperature use, select the silicone formulation for the actual temperature, exposure duration, and contact medium. Evaluate the assembled fit through the relevant heating and cooling conditions. Keep the cap interior and hose end clean before installation, and inspect them after removal. Define whether the cap is a temporary protective covering or part of an operating closure; any required fluid containment must be assessed with the complete hose and retaining arrangement.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Compare inside diameter A with the outside of the part being covered. Check inside depth C and overall dimensions B and D for available clearance. These RSE references show a round cap with one closed end.
43 closed-end cap sizes. A is the inside diameter and C is the usable internal depth; B and D describe the outside envelope.

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
