Selected for the contact, temperature and movement
Define the visible surfaces and intended color
Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
Black seal stoppers can be custom molded for openings that need a fitted rubber closure. The inserted body establishes contact with the receiving feature, while the visible portion can provide coverage and access for removal. Size and shape should be developed around these separate functions.
Measure the opening where the rubber actually seats, including its depth and any taper. A large visible head does not compensate for a loose body inside the hole. Conversely, an excessively tight body can make insertion difficult or distort the closure before the head reaches its intended position.
The black color can coordinate with the surrounding product, but the chosen compound still needs to suit the substances and temperatures at the installation point. Fit the stopper into a clean opening and inspect for uneven seating. If removal is part of routine use, ensure the accessible portion can be handled without damaging the sealing body. Replace a cut or permanently deformed stopper rather than forcing it deeper to recover an unsuitable fit.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The inserted body establishes contact with the receiving feature, while the visible portion can provide coverage and access for removal. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
