A custom usb protective cap closes a port area where the device design requires protection from its surroundings. For water exposure, the cap's material is only one part of the interface. The housing seat, engaging profile, and way the user closes the cover all contribute to the finished arrangement.
Define the exposure expected in use and evaluate the cap within the completed device. The seating edge should meet its intended surface continuously rather than appear closed while leaving one corner lifted. A recess must also allow the user to press the cap into position without pushing against the connector itself. The closed state should be clear during ordinary handling.
Custom dimensions and color make the cap adaptable to a specific enclosure. Keep dirt away from the contact edges and inspect them after repeated removal. Damage or permanent distortion can change the fit even when the outer face remains intact. The assembled product must establish its own protection limits; this flexible cap does not assign a universal immersion capability to every USB-equipped device.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The housing seat, engaging profile, and way the user closes the cover all contribute to the finished arrangement. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
