Adhesive felt foot pads should be developed with the desired movement of the furniture in mind. Felt and rubber contact surfaces behave differently, so the finished pad construction needs to identify which material meets the floor. The adhesive side must separately suit the furniture leg or base.
Custom dimensions and material options allow the pad to follow the available footprint. Avoid an outline that projects beyond the leg, where movement can catch an edge and begin peeling. The supported area should provide the intended contact without leaving a rigid corner exposed.
Prepare the furniture surface for the selected adhesive and place the pad accurately. Evaluate the completed arrangement on the actual floor finish, considering both movement and surface marking. Keep the contact face free of grit before repositioning the furniture. During maintenance, inspect for compressed areas, embedded particles and adhesive lifting. If one foot wears differently from the others, check the furniture's stance and load distribution. Replacing only the visible pad may not correct an uneven base.
