An anti-dust silicone stopper closes an opening while an assembly moves through stages that leave some connections unused. Each plug should fit the intended opening securely enough for normal handling and remain practical to remove at the next stage. Custom geometry, material and color can be selected for the different locations.
Identify which openings remain closed and which will later receive a component. Keep the plug's exposed removal area clear of parts installed around it, so it does not become inaccessible before the opening is needed. Fit it only after loose debris has been removed from the mating area. When a plug is withdrawn, inspect that it is intact and store it where its contact surface stays clean. Avoid transferring a dirty plug directly from one opening to another. If several similar sizes are used, maintain their intended fit assignments rather than stretching a smaller closure into a larger hole. Replace a damaged retained edge before handling carries the plug away and leaves the opening exposed.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. Each plug should fit the intended opening securely enough for normal handling and remain practical to remove at the next stage. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
