An Automotive rubber pipe stopper can be custom developed for a particular pipe opening in a vehicle assembly. The bore profile and available insertion depth should determine the working body, while surrounding hardware determines how much exterior space is available. Material and color can be selected for the intended location.
Check the pipe in its mounted position. A nearby bend, bracket or connector can limit insertion or prevent easy removal even when a loose pipe sample accepts the stopper. The closure should reach its seat without being forced past an internal step or pressed against another component.
Choose the compound according to local fluids, temperature and cleaning conditions. Vehicle locations differ, so a suitable plug for one position may not suit another. Before fitting, clear the pipe edge of burrs and debris. During service, inspect the rubber where it contacts the opening and check that the exterior has not been displaced by neighboring hardware. Correct interference rather than repeatedly pushing a moving stopper back into the pipe.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The bore profile and available insertion depth should determine the working body, while surrounding hardware determines how much exterior space is available. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
