Black rubber wiring grommets can blend into an automotive harness and surrounding trim. This appearance may suit the assembly, but it can also make a partly lifted lip difficult to spot. The installation process should provide a clear view of the retaining area before the panel becomes crowded.
Custom dimensions and material options allow the grommet to follow the opening and cable route. Establish the panel groove using the finished wall thickness, including coatings. The cable passage should suit the jacket or harness wrapping that actually occupies it.
During fitting, check the grommet around the entire perimeter rather than judging only the visible front face. Secure the nearest harness supports and inspect again for sideways pull. If the part is hidden after trim installation, verify its seat at the appropriate earlier stage. Select the compound for the local heat and exposure conditions. During maintenance, distinguish a loose harness clip from a damaged grommet; both can alter the cable's position, but replacing the rubber does not restore a missing support.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The cable passage should suit the jacket or harness wrapping that actually occupies it. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
