A butyl rubber stopper plug closes a defined opening in medical equipment. Silicone versions can be developed separately where that formulation suits the intended conditions. The profile should follow the receiving component and establish where the body contacts, stops, and can be handled.
Identify whether the part closes an exterior access point or encounters an internal medium. That function determines the relevant material and processing assessment. The equipment's assembly sequence also matters: a head accessible before the housing is closed may become difficult to inspect or remove afterward. Leave appropriate fitting access and verify the seated position with the surrounding components installed.
Keep the working surfaces clean during handling and avoid placing insertion force on a thin edge. The selected formulation should suit the actual contact and cleaning conditions for the medical equipment location. During replacement, preserve the body length, shoulder geometry, and material assignment. A similar molded outline made from another rubber should not be substituted merely because its visible face covers the same opening.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
