A rubber grommet for cable entries should be assessed after the cable reaches its final route and support positions. Routing can pull on the passage and alter the outer seat, even when the grommet appeared correctly fitted before the cable was secured. A waterproof requirement therefore involves the complete installed entry rather than the rubber profile alone.
Match the panel cutout and thickness to the retaining region. Choose the passage around the finished jacket or bundle covering, including any local sleeve. The compound should suit the actual water exposure, temperature, and cleaning substances at the location.
Seat the part on a smooth edge and inspect both sides where possible. Arrange the cable with the intended slack and check the lip again before closing the enclosure. During service, reassess contact if the cable covering or route changes. Replace a torn or permanently distorted insert and correct sharp panel edges before relying on the entry to return to its intended condition.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Routing can pull on the passage and alter the outer seat, even when the grommet appeared correctly fitted before the cable was secured. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
