Product Overview

Silicone buttons with conductive contact features can provide discrete inputs for a computer enclosure or related control assembly. The rubber transfers a finger press to the intended board contact and then returns toward its resting shape. Reliable operation requires the contact feature to register with the circuit pattern throughout that movement.

Check the underside geometry alongside the visible key layout. A button that looks centered in the housing can be offset from the board if the supporting sheet or board mounts are incorrectly positioned. Provide sufficient return clearance so the electrical contact releases fully after the user lifts a finger.

The molded part is one element of the input system; it does not define the computer interface or replace the electronics that interpret commands. Evaluate single presses, repeated presses and off-center operation in the assembled enclosure. Keep dust and cleaning liquids away from the contact region during maintenance. If operation changes after a case is reopened, check the board seating and button alignment before assuming the conductive material has failed.

Material options
Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A. The rubber transfers a finger press to the intended board contact and then returns toward its resting shape.
Custom dimensions
A button that looks centered in the housing can be offset from the board if the supporting sheet or board mounts are incorrectly positioned.
Fit & assembly
If operation changes after a case is reopened, check the board seating and button alignment before assuming the conductive material has failed.
Use & inspection
Keep dust and cleaning liquids away from the contact region during maintenance.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
