A Connector Seal Rubber Plug can be developed to close an unused opening in a connector arrangement. The plug must suit the actual cavity geometry and retention method, including any rear cover or secondary feature that controls its final position. A small difference in seating depth can affect whether the surrounding connector closes correctly.
Custom structure, material, size, hardness and color options allow the part to be matched to the connector. Check whether assembly requires insertion from the front or rear and whether the plug remains accessible afterward. Its position should be stable through the connector's normal handling and mating sequence.
Sealing performance needs assessment with the complete connector and intended exposure conditions. Keep the cavity clean before insertion, and avoid nicking the rubber with a sharp probe. If a previously unused position is later populated, remove the plug using a method that preserves the cavity and neighboring seals. During inspection, look for a plug that sits noticeably higher or lower than the intended position, rather than judging the assembly by color alone.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
