Product Overview

Flexible silicone bellows can be developed for an installation where a standard folded profile does not match the space or movement. The starting point is the path the assembly follows, including changes in length and any offset between the attachment points. An exterior shape copied from a stationary sample may not describe the conditions during operation.

Show the component at its shortest, longest and normal positions. Include nearby hardware and anything moving inside the bellows. The folds need room outside the body as well as clearance internally, so both views help define the usable envelope. Where maintenance requires extra travel beyond normal operation, treat that position separately rather than stretching a working sample to reach it.

Material, color and hardness can be tailored along with the geometry. The selected compound should reflect the actual exposure and movement frequency. A design that acts as a flexible cover should not automatically be treated as a pressure-carrying connection.

Sample evaluation should follow the intended movement slowly enough to observe where deformation occurs. Look for one fold carrying disproportionate stretch or an end connection moving out of its seat. Keep the accepted profile associated with its travel limits, not only its resting length. That makes later dimensional changes easier to assess within the same installation.

Material options
Custom silicone compound; formulation and geometry developed together.
Hardness selection
Silicone options: 20–80 Shore A. Look for one fold carrying disproportionate stretch or an end connection moving out of its seat.
Custom geometry
Keep the accepted profile associated with its travel limits, not only its resting length.
Fit evaluation
An exterior shape copied from a stationary sample may not describe the conditions during operation.
Color & OEM
Custom colors; identification clear of folds and end connections.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
