A small medical equipment plug made from Buna-N rubber provides a custom closure for a defined opening. The 14.4 mm designation is a nominal size reference; the complete head, body, and seating profile determine whether the part fits the intended equipment. It should not be treated as a universal replacement for every opening carrying the same nominal dimension.
Identify the plug's role within the assembly, including whether it is an external closure, a service access part, or an interface exposed to a process medium. That location determines the relevant contact and cleaning conditions for the formulation. The way the plug is retained and removed also belongs in the design, particularly where nearby components restrict access.
During fitting, keep the working surfaces clean and verify that the body has reached its seat without being folded beneath the head. Check the installed position after any surrounding housing parts are secured. Replacement should preserve the exact profile and material assignment. A visually similar small stopper can have a different insertion depth or contact area, which matters more than matching its exposed diameter alone.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
