Product Overview

A rubber seal washer in warm service may contact different materials on its two faces. One side could be attached to a heat source while the other meets a cooler adjoining component. The useful requirement is the washer's actual exposure within that connection, not a nearby temperature reading taken elsewhere on the equipment.

Describe the contact on each face when developing the custom part. Include the substances that can reach the inner edge and any cleaner applied from outside. This helps identify whether the washer sees one consistent environment or several distinct conditions around its section.

The final material must be appropriate for those contacts together. Evaluate the washer in the intended mating components and avoid interpreting a loose sample's feel as evidence of heat suitability. During permitted maintenance, keep track of which face was installed toward each component. A change on only one side can provide useful evidence about the local exposure. Restore that orientation where the developed design requires it, and investigate an uneven condition before substituting another ring solely on the basis of its advertised temperature description.

Material options
Rubber. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Rubber: 30–90 Shore A. Evaluate the selected washer compliance at its own operating exposure; a nearby equipment temperature does not define conditions at the compressed rubber.
Custom dimensions
Evaluate the washer in the intended mating components and avoid interpreting a loose sample's feel as evidence of heat suitability.
Fit & assembly
One side could be attached to a heat source while the other meets a cooler adjoining component.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
