Neoprene rubber small plugs are custom closure parts for compact openings in medical equipment. Their small size makes the relationship between the gripping area and inserted section particularly important. A plug that can be pushed into place during manufacture must also remain accessible for any planned inspection or removal later in the device's life.
Establish the available finger or assembly tool clearance around the opening. The surrounding housing should not force removal pressure onto a thin sealing edge. For a cap version, provide enough engagement over the covered feature without concealing neighboring controls or connectors. The finished part should sit consistently so that incomplete insertion can be recognized during assembly.
Neoprene selection should reflect the exact location, cleaning process, and relevant contact conditions. Keep small parts organized during servicing so that visually similar closures do not migrate between openings. Inspect the body and the underside of the head before reuse, and avoid reinstalling a part that has been nicked by a tool. Device suitability depends on the complete fitted configuration and its intended medical equipment function.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. For a cap version, provide enough engagement over the covered feature without concealing neighboring controls or connectors. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
