Custom silicone sealing stoppers close openings that may need to be accessed during assembly or servicing. Their body and head can be shaped for the receiving geometry and the space available for handling. The fitted position should be clear so the closure can be returned consistently after removal.
The transition from closed to open is important in a dusty environment. Clean around the stopper before pulling it out, and keep the working surface away from loose contamination while the opening is exposed. Inspect the inserted section before refitting rather than judging readiness from the visible head alone. Trapped particles can interrupt the intended contact at the seat.
Choose the silicone formulation and hardness for the actual medium, temperature, and removal frequency. Provide a suitable gripping surface so repeated access does not depend on prying a thin edge. The part should reach its designed position without extra force used to conceal a mismatch. Any sealing requirement beyond dust covering should be assessed with the complete opening and the conditions in which the stopper is used.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. Any sealing requirement beyond dust covering should be assessed with the complete opening and the conditions in which the stopper is used. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
