An Elastomer rubber keypad uses the flexibility of its molded material to let the keys move and return. ETOL lists hardness choices from 20 to 80 Shore A, alongside custom sizing, multiple colors and molded logo details. That range offers design options, but a useful comparison requires the other important features to remain controlled.
When comparing candidate hardnesses, use the same key geometry, enclosure and switching arrangement where possible. Otherwise, a changed wall thickness or different opening clearance may be mistaken for a material effect. Examine both the effort to press a key and the way it releases, including a gentle press at the edge of the usable surface.
Choose the resulting construction around the intended interaction rather than the softest sample available. A keypad that feels pleasant when held loose may behave differently once restrained by its housing. Keep the evaluated mounting relationship when moving to production. During handling, avoid folding the pad sharply through thin connecting regions, and let it lie naturally before assembling it into the control.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
