Properly fitted rubber bushes protect wiring by separating the jacket from a hard opening edge. That protection depends on the cable remaining within the intended passage as the equipment moves. A bundle that repeatedly rubs the outer flange or pulls the insert from its seat needs a routing or support correction in addition to a suitable rubber component.
Match the EPDM grommet configuration to the finished hole, supporting thickness, and wire bundle. Consider the amplitude and direction of movement at the entry rather than looking only at the cable's resting position. Nearby supports should allow the intended movement without directing the jacket into one narrow contact region.
After fitting, operate the assembly through its relevant movement and inspect the seat. Keep the cable clear of sharp edges beyond the grommet as well, since the insert covers only its own contact region. During service, check for a concentrated wear line inside the passage. If present, investigate the cable route and support spacing before replacing the bush and returning the equipment to use.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Nearby supports should allow the intended movement without directing the jacket into one narrow contact region. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
