Rubber end caps for bolts can be developed in silicone to cover exposed fastener ends. The internal diameter and depth should follow the bolt projection and surrounding hardware. A cap needs sufficient space over the end while engaging the intended exterior surface to remain located.
Check the installed fastener before choosing the cap. A nut, washer or nearby bracket may determine where the cover stops. If the bolt reaches the internal end of the cap too early, the exterior can look covered while the lower region remains short of its intended position.
Select the silicone formulation for the local exposure and cleaning conditions. Fit the cap without dragging its inside over a damaged thread edge, and inspect for stretching at the opening. For service access, remove it by the available exterior rather than cutting it away unless replacement is intended. Reuse only a cover with an intact body and contact edge. Match replacement depth as well as diameter so the fastener end is accommodated without distorting the cap.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The internal diameter and depth should follow the bolt projection and surrounding hardware. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
