A small vinyl tapered rubber plug is a custom closure whose fit depends on where the taper meets the opening. The narrow end assists entry, while the wider section provides increasing contact as the plug advances. Set the intended seating depth with the hole dimensions so the closure does not rely on being pushed as far as possible.
Small parts need enough exposed material for controlled handling. Consider whether the plug will be fitted by fingers or by an assembly fixture, and reserve room for removal if the opening must be accessed later. An exterior that disappears into a recess can be difficult to retrieve without damaging the rim.
Material selection should identify the actual vinyl or elastomer formulation required for the application. Custom color and size can distinguish variants, but the fit still depends on the finished dimensions and material behavior. Check the plug in the actual opening for straight seating and consistent engagement. Avoid using a pointed tool to lever against a thin sealing edge, and replace a plug that has been nicked during removal.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
