Furniture leg protection uses a rubber interface to keep the hard end of a leg from contacting the floor directly. Custom silicone rubber feet can be shaped around the leg and the available base area, with hardness selected for the intended assembly. A firmer feel is one design choice, but it should be considered together with the size of the contact surface.
The furniture load and leg angle affect how the foot sits on the floor. A narrow base and a broad base will behave differently even when the rubber feels similar by hand. Choose the geometry so the foot seats securely and all support points meet the floor in the normal position.
Fit the feet onto clean leg ends and check for rocking before use. Avoid leaving grit embedded in the bottom surface, especially on floors where visible marks are a concern. During inspection, look for deformation around the leg end and wear at the contact edge. A damaged foot should be replaced before the underlying furniture leg reaches the floor.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose hemispherical, tapered or recessed rubber feet and compare the mounting dimensions. All values are in millimeters. Use the drawing labels for each product; a dash marks a dimension not supplied in the source.
12 sizes for recessed rubber feet, including flat and rounded bases. The Base column identifies the lower-edge style. C is recess depth; the appearance rendering shows a rounded-base example.
