Selected for the contact, temperature and movement
Define the visible surfaces and intended color
Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
Custom transparent silicone caps can cover a component while retaining some visibility through the molded material. Grey stopper versions provide a different appearance option. The selected color or transparency should be coordinated with the required body or cavity profile rather than used as a substitute for checking the fit.
The cap interior should follow the complete outside surface being covered, including any shoulder that can stop insertion. A stopper version needs dimensions for the opening it enters. Establish the intended seated position and leave a practical gripping area for removal. Wall thickness and surface finish can affect how the covered part appears, so assess the actual molded configuration if visibility matters. Choose the formulation for the contact medium, temperature, and cleaning process. Keep the interior clean before fitting and inspect for damage after removal. Replacement should preserve the material and full profile as well as the chosen appearance, since a visually similar cover may engage the receiving part differently.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The cap interior should follow the complete outside surface being covered, including any shoulder that can stop insertion. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
