Match the attachment and installation method
Silicone colorful plugs can be customized for openings that need a recognizable closure in a defined environment. Different colors can identify locations or product versions, while the engaging geometry and silicone formulation establish the actual fit. A color selection should not be treated as a temperature grade.
For a heat-exposed location, assess the conditions at the plug itself and the surfaces it touches. The body should remain correctly seated under the intended operating conditions, with the exposed section clear of neighboring components. Review fitting and removal access after the surrounding assembly is complete.
Keep each color version matched to its specified profile during maintenance. A plug with a similar visible head may have a different engaging depth. Clean the seating surfaces before refitting and inspect thin edges for damage. The complete closure must be evaluated for the intended dust or sealing duty; a general silicone description does not assign one operating limit to all custom sizes and shapes.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. A plug with a similar visible head may have a different engaging depth. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
