Product Overview

A black rubber thick gasket supplies a custom flexible layer between mating surfaces that require a defined installed separation. Its thickness should be selected around the joint's closing geometry and retention arrangement. Adding rubber thickness changes how the parts meet and should not be treated as an automatic improvement in sealing.

Review the joint in its secured condition. The gasket needs enough controlled compression to contact the intended surfaces while remaining supported at its edges. A thick section can alter fastener engagement or leave adjoining features farther apart than intended. Check those relationships with the complete assembly rather than using the loose thickness as the final gap.

The compound should suit the actual medium and temperature at the sealing location. Black color does not identify that compound. Before fitting, remove residue from the mating surfaces and position the gasket without folds. If the previous part was squeezed out or worn unevenly, inspect the joint alignment and compression arrangement before installing a replacement of the specified thickness.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
