Buna-N rubber seal stoppers close openings with a molded body selected for the receiving feature. The custom dimensions can define the seating diameter, insertion depth, and accessible top. For an oil-contact application, the compound needs to be matched to the particular fluid rather than treated as universally oil-proof.
Consider the oil formulation, temperature, and duration of contact. Incidental splashing and continuous immersion can place different demands on the rubber. The mechanical fit also needs to suit the opening, including any taper or internal step that changes the contact area.
Fit the stopper into a clean, smooth bore and inspect its position without forcing it beyond the intended depth. Leave the required access for removal and avoid using a sharp tool against the sealing body. During reuse, check for swelling, cracking, or permanent deformation that could change the fit. The complete closure must suit its operating conditions, and a material choice alone does not establish pressure retention or a guaranteed seal for every receiving part.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
