A flexible prototype membrane provides a development part for assessing the physical response of an input assembly. Tactile behavior should be evaluated with the intended housing, support and contact arrangement, since the loose membrane cannot show every effect of the completed stack.
Customize the silicone or rubber geometry around the key locations and available movement. Compare prototypes using a consistent assembly condition so a change in fastening or support does not obscure the effect of a revised profile. Keep the version of each sample identified during evaluation.
Press the intended operating areas and check return, neighboring movement and contact with the bezel. Include representative input sequences rather than judging the prototype only from one centered press. Electrical response should be assessed with the chosen switching system where applicable. Before production, evaluate any final surface or marking changes in the same assembly. Avoid making unrecorded local cuts or additions to the prototype, because those changes can make the sample behave differently from the molded design being reviewed.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Customize the silicone or rubber geometry around the key locations and available movement. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
