Prototype silicone buttons provide a physical control surface for evaluating an equipment panel. Their custom shape can follow the planned housing apertures and switch locations. The prototype helps establish whether operators can reach and distinguish the controls in the actual arrangement.
Check the panel from its normal operating position, including any nearby handles, guards, or raised housing edges. These features can restrict the finger approach even when the button itself has adequate face area. The visible shape should be considered alongside the available movement beneath the panel.
Fit the prototype with the intended backing and fasteners, then test individual and adjacent controls. Look for rubbing, trapped membrane edges, or a button that remains partially pressed when the case is closed. Markings can be evaluated for visibility in the same assembly. Keep revisions tied to the corresponding housing and switch layout so comparisons remain meaningful. The prototype establishes design feedback, while production durability and environmental requirements need assessment using the final selected material and construction under the intended equipment conditions.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The visible shape should be considered alongside the available movement beneath the panel. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
