A spherical rubber washer introduces a curved rubber profile at a contact point. That geometry affects how the contact area develops as the part is compressed, distinguishing it from a simple flat ring. The matching surfaces and installed orientation therefore need to be considered along with the hole and outside dimensions.
A rounded form does not automatically provide a freely swiveling joint. If angular accommodation is required, the complete arrangement must allow that movement without cutting or displacing the rubber. Likewise, any vibration-related function depends on the supported mass, compression and mounting layout rather than the profile name alone.
Check where the curved section first meets the opposing surface and where it can spread under load. Nearby sharp edges or narrow recesses can concentrate stress in a small area. Assemble with the intended hardware and inspect for uneven distortion. During replacement, preserve the washer's orientation and spacing so the curved surface continues to meet the part it was designed to support.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Likewise, any vibration-related function depends on the supported mass, compression and mounting layout rather than the profile name alone. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose hemispherical, tapered or recessed rubber feet and compare the mounting dimensions. All values are in millimeters. Use the drawing labels for each product; a dash marks a dimension not supplied in the source.
12 sizes for recessed rubber feet, including flat and rounded bases. The Base column identifies the lower-edge style. C is recess depth; the appearance rendering shows a rounded-base example.
