Product Overview

A dumbbell silicone grip provides a custom hand contact component for a compatible handle. Size, color and hardness from 20 to 80 Shore A for silicone and 30 to 90 Shore A for solid rubber can be selected during development, with engraved or embossed details available for identification. The chosen material version and bore need to match the actual handle, including its surface finish and the space between the weight sections.

Assess the usable hand width before setting the grip length. The fingers should be able to close naturally without being crowded by an enlarged end or the neighboring weight. Consider the complete outer diameter as well; additional thickness changes how far the hand must wrap around the handle.

Secure location matters throughout lifting and setting the dumbbell down. Check whether the fitted grip rotates or moves lengthwise under the intended handling. Surface softness alone does not establish retention. The mounting arrangement should keep the component in position without creating a loose edge that can roll beneath the fingers.

Wipe away sweat and cleaning residue using a method compatible with the finished material. Inspect the ends and the area beneath the normal hand position for lifting, cuts or movement. A mobile grip should be corrected before the dumbbell is used again, because a comfortable surface must also remain properly located on the handle.

Material options
Custom silicone or neoprene formulation; tailor the geometry and color to the required interface and exposure.
Hardness range
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A; rubber: 30–90 Shore A. Assess the grade against this fit requirement: Surface softness alone does not establish retention.
Custom profile & fit
Consider the complete outer diameter as well; additional thickness changes how far the hand must wrap around the handle.
Assembly considerations
Check whether the fitted grip rotates or moves lengthwise under the intended handling.
Design check
Inspect the ends and the area beneath the normal hand position for lifting, cuts or movement.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
