Product Overview

OEM custom auto rubber parts can be developed with geometry, hardness, material and color matched to a vehicle component. Molding allows the rubber profile to incorporate the surfaces needed for location and contact. The design should also account for how the part reaches its final position during assembly.

A feature may fit once installed but still be difficult to pass over a larger shoulder, flange or adjoining part. Identify the assembly direction and the hardware already in place at that stage. This helps determine which openings need installation clearance and which surfaces must engage tightly afterward. Avoid solving an assembly obstacle by overstretching a thin section or cutting the finished part.

Check material suitability against the actual installation environment, including fluids and temperature around the component. Keep critical contacting surfaces free of debris during fitting, and verify the final orientation before adding surrounding hardware. For replacement work, include the mating components in the inspection; a distorted bracket or damaged seat can prevent the correct rubber part from locating as designed. The finished fit should reflect the intended assembly sequence and service position.

Material options
Rubber. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Rubber: 30–90 Shore A. Balance the stiffness needed after installation with the temporary deformation required to pass a shoulder or flange during fitting.
Custom dimensions
The design should also account for how the part reaches its final position during assembly.

Use & inspection

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
