Product Overview

A Remote silicone keypad provides the flexible button surface inside a remote handset. Custom size, color and logo options allow it to follow the handset's controls and appearance. The molded part must fit within the depth available between the front shell and the switching interface, so its underside deserves attention alongside the visible keys.

In a slim housing, increasing key height can consume clearance that the moving rubber needs beneath the panel. Establish the resting position with the enclosure closed, then check whether each press has enough useful travel. A key that works with the shell loosely assembled may become restricted when the fasteners are fully seated. Hardness options range from 20 to 80 Shore A; assess the geometry and surrounding clearance together with the chosen hardness.

Use the actual handset during evaluation, including the installed board and its locating features. Press the keys while holding the remote normally and while it rests on a surface, since those conditions can change how the housing is supported. Keep the keypad's locating areas clear of loose wires. If the shell must be forced closed over the rubber, correct the fit instead of using fastener pressure to flatten the part.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
