A rubber cable sleeve provides a flexible interface around a cable where it passes through a defined opening. With a tapered profile, the sleeve can transition from the mounting area toward the cable exit. Custom dimensions coordinate the panel fit, internal passage, and length of the projecting section.
The taper should follow the intended cable path without forcing a sharp bend at its end. Match the passage to the cable's actual outside dimension, allowing for the assembly method and any connector that must pass through. The mounting section needs to suit the opening and panel thickness independently of the cable bore.
Fit the sleeve so its seating features engage around the opening, then check that the cable lies naturally through the exit. Pulling the cable sideways to correct routing can distort the sleeve at the panel. Edge protection does not by itself establish a strain relief or water ingress rating.
Select the exact compound for the cable jacket and surrounding environment. During inspection, look at the exit point as well as the mounting area, since repeated cable movement may concentrate there. Replace a damaged sleeve without enlarging the opening or cutting away locating features needed for proper retention.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The mounting section needs to suit the opening and panel thickness independently of the cable bore. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
