Rubber caps for pipe cover an exposed end with a molded cavity tailored to the pipe's outside dimensions. A custom silicone end cap can be designed for the available engagement length and surrounding clearance. Its exterior should suit the planned handling while the interior follows the actual pipe profile.
Consider removal access before finalizing the cap depth. A long cap may provide substantial engagement but leave little room to grip if nearby hardware surrounds it. A shallow cap needs its own assessment of seating and retention. The closed end should reach the intended position without being pushed against a burr or raised feature inside the cavity.
Select material and hardness for the environment at the pipe end. Clean the mating surface and remove sharp cutting residue before fitting. Following removal, inspect the cap mouth and inside wall, since those regions may experience the greatest strain during handling. Define whether the part is a protective covering or an operating closure, and assess any required containment with the complete pipe arrangement and its actual service conditions.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Compare inside diameter A with the outside of the part being covered. Check inside depth C and overall dimensions B and D for available clearance. These RSE references show a round cap with one closed end.
43 closed-end cap sizes. A is the inside diameter and C is the usable internal depth; B and D describe the outside envelope.

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
