Rubber Waterproof Hole Plugs are custom closures developed around designated openings in an assembly. The retained profile and contact edge should follow the mating surface so the part remains seated during its intended use. Water protection must be evaluated at that complete interface rather than inferred from the plug's visible head.
Structure, material, dimensions, hardness and color can be customized. Define the opening and available depth, then choose the compound for the actual exposure and cleaning routine. Include the access needed to remove the closure if the opening is part of a serviceable mechanism.
Install the plug on a prepared surface and inspect for incomplete engagement around the perimeter. Use the assembly's required water checks to assess the selected configuration. During replacement, examine the opening for corrosion, cuts or residue as well as checking the rubber. If the closure repeatedly moves or leaks at one location, correct the local contact or retention issue before fitting another part with the same general appearance.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The retained profile and contact edge should follow the mating surface so the part remains seated during its intended use. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
