Silicone dust caps and covers can be customized around the neck or opening of a bottle. The cap's inner profile should follow the actual outer feature and the intended engagement depth. A useful fit covers the required area while leaving a practical way to remove the cap without damaging its edge.
Check the bottle profile beyond its nominal mouth diameter. A shoulder, bead, or change in neck shape can affect how the cover passes into position and where it finally rests. The cap should not be held under excessive stretch to reach a seat intended for a different shape. The material choice must suit the contents, contact conditions, and care method used with the finished bottle.
Keep the inner face clean before replacing the cover. Residue left beneath it can affect the contact and be carried toward the opening. Inspect the edge for tears after repeated removal. The completed bottle and closure determine sealing performance; a dust cap does not automatically establish suitability for pressure retention or every heat treatment.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The cap's inner profile should follow the actual outer feature and the intended engagement depth. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
