A silicone elastomer keypad provides a molded button cover for a defined control assembly. The custom key layout should match the enclosure openings and the switching arrangement beneath it. The flexible material needs a stable supporting position so each key can move without shifting the surrounding sheet.
Review the full stack of parts after the housing is secured. The key's resting gap, exposed height, and side clearance should allow the intended press and release. An internal rib or fastener should not compress an unrelated area and hold a control partly down. Check operation across the whole key group, including presses near the edges of larger buttons.
Printing, embossed or debossed details, and color-filled marking can identify the commands. Keep those legends within the visible surfaces and oriented for the normal product position. During fitting, protect the underside from particles and ensure the sheet lies naturally on its locating features. Material softness alone does not establish the electrical response or environmental protection of the finished control assembly.
