Silicone buttons in an automotive keypad need a clear relationship between the visible function and the control beneath it. The layout should remain understandable in the installed panel, where viewing angle and surrounding trim can affect how much of a marking is visible. Button shape and legend placement therefore need to be reviewed together.
Coordinate the molded sheet with the board location and front-panel apertures. A key should travel without its marked face rubbing against the edge of the opening. Controls with different top shapes may need different support details underneath, particularly when users press them from an angle rather than directly above.
Evaluate the complete assembly for legibility, independent operation, and free return. The selected material and marking system should be assessed for the actual vehicle environment and cleaning exposure. Do not rely on a generic silicone description to establish those properties. During inspection, include the most frequently touched keys as well as less-used perimeter controls; wear and interference can appear in different places for different reasons within the same keypad.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
