A custom tapered plastic plug with hole is defined by both its sloping outside profile and its central passage. Silicone versions require their own material and dimensional assessment. The taper determines where the part engages the receiving opening, while the bore must remain suitable for its intended use at that installed depth.
Establish the small end, large end, and taper length before choosing the seating position. Pushing the part deeper increases engagement at a different section of the body and may change the bore's condition in a flexible version. If another component passes through the center, assess its alignment and contact after the outer taper is seated.
The upper area should remain accessible for fitting and removal without damage to the passage edge. Keep the receiving opening and bore clean, and avoid enlarging the hole by forcing an unsuitable item through it. Material choice should reflect the actual contact substances and temperature. A tapered profile provides a way to establish fit, but it does not make every opening within the taper's visible diameter range an appropriate application.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The taper determines where the part engages the receiving opening, while the bore must remain suitable for its intended use at that installed depth. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
