Product Overview

A flexible rubber dust cover should maintain its intended position while accommodating the movement or handling of the protected component. The cover's flexibility needs to be supported by suitable geometry, particularly around narrow transitions and attachment edges. A soft part can still lift from its seat if the movement pulls in an unintended direction.

Custom material, dimensions, hardness and color allow the cover to follow the assembly. Define the receiving surfaces and the range of motion before selecting the profile. Any waterproofing or dust protection requirement should be evaluated on the complete cover arrangement and its interfaces.

During installation, make sure the cover reaches its seat without being held in a permanent twist. Check the full movement range with adjacent components present. Inspect for an edge that catches or a section compressed into a pinch point. During maintenance, remove residue with a compatible method and examine less visible attachment areas. If a tear repeatedly appears in one region, review the movement and mounting alignment rather than relying on greater wall thickness alone.

Material options
Rubber compound options, customized alongside the profile and contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Solid rubber options: 30–90 Shore A. A flexible rubber dust cover should maintain its intended position while accommodating the movement or handling of the protected component.
Custom geometry
Custom material, dimensions, hardness and color allow the cover to follow the assembly.
Fit evaluation
Check the full movement range with adjacent components present.
Color & OEM
Custom colors; OEM markings clear of the working interface.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
