A Waterproof wire grommet combines panel edge protection with a cable interface intended to restrict moisture entry. The rubber profile needs to suit the individual wire or bundle and the panel mounting surface. Structure, material, dimensions, hardness and color can be customized for that entry.
Set the cable in its operating route before assessing the seal. A wire that moves to one side can open a gap even if the empty grommet appeared to fit the panel well. Check both the perimeter seating and the cable contact, then evaluate the assembled entry under the moisture exposure intended for the product. During maintenance, inspect the entry after any wire has been removed, added or rerouted. A new sleeve or wrap changes the fitted size and can also change how the cable bends beside the panel. Avoid cutting the rubber to accommodate that revision without reviewing the entry design. Correct a lifted lip or damaged cable interface before relying on the enclosure's intended protection again.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. A new sleeve or wrap changes the fitted size and can also change how the cable bends beside the panel. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
