Rubber protective caps for chair legs should fit the ends and remain seated as the chair is handled normally. The internal profile and engagement depth establish retention, while the base forms the contact beneath the chair. Material and hardness can be selected for the intended surface and care conditions.
Check the leg for taper, seams, or a damaging edge before fitting. The cap should reach its seat without splitting at the mouth or stopping early against an obstruction. Its base height needs to remain compatible with the other supports.
After installation, assess the chair on its normal surface and inspect for a cap that lifts when the chair is moved. Keep grit away from the underside during care. Examine the mouth and internal contact region periodically, since repeated dragging or loose fit can concentrate stress there. Replace with the correct leg profile rather than packing the inside or forcing a smaller cap onto the support to improve retention.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Compare inside diameter A with the outside of the part being covered. Check inside depth C and overall dimensions B and D for available clearance. These RSE references show a round cap with one closed end.
43 closed-end cap sizes. A is the inside diameter and C is the usable internal depth; B and D describe the outside envelope.

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
